What are Sleep Risk Factors?

In today’s society there are several sleep risk factors that many people suffer from. One of the main sleeping risk factors is sleep apnea. 

Sleep apnea can occur in male and females, infants to adults. Yes, even a child can suffer from sleep apnea. Here is a list below of certain factors that can put a person at risk: 

- An Obstructive Sleep Apnea

- Having excess weight.

- Your neck’s circumference.

- Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure:

- Narrow airways.

- Family genetics.

- Smoking. 

- Central Sleep Apnea:

- Being a male.

- Heart conditions.

- Brain tumor or Strokes

- Complex Sleep Apnea

The factors are the same as both obstructive and central, but is highly common with people that have a heart disorder.Sleep apnea is not the only risk factor in sleeping, SIDs is also another factor. SID, also known as Sudden Infant Death, is a condition that usually occurs in infants. They decease during their sleep. Many infants throughout the world die from this condition.
