What is Sleepwalking?

When a person lays down their head every night to sleep, they do not sleep the same as they did the night before. Many of us will experience a quiet sleep, deep sleep, or an active sleep, where a person dreams. Some people think that sleepwalking occurs when a person is in the active sleeping mode. But that is the case that does not mean that the person is physically doing actives in their sleep. Sleepwalking generally occurs within a few hours of a deep sleep or a slow-wave sleep.

Several sleepwalkers do not actually get up and walk around. Some people just simply stand bedside the bed, sit up, or act as if they are awake, but they are in a daze and asleep. When a person is sleep walking it is likely that they will stay up for a few minutes to a half an hour.

Many sleepwalkers’ eyes will be open. They are not able to see the same way they would if they was actually awake. Many sleepwalkers do not even remember what happened when they walk up the next morning.
