What are Sleep Deprivation Symptoms? |
Everyone needs an average sleep of around 7 to 9 hours per day. Sleeping is the process in which mind and body gets re-energized. If the body gets deprived of sleep for any reasons either for a longer period of short period, the body faces many health problems. Some of the common symptoms of sleep deprivation are fatigue, lack of concentration, memory loss, depression, high blood pressure, blurred vision, anxiety, lack of energy, feeling sleepy during the day time, inability to concentrate and make decisions etc. The thing that surprises is that most of the patients of sleep deprivation disorder are not aware that they are the patients. It is important that they don’t ignore these symptoms and seek medical help at the earliest. Some other symptoms which are strong indicators of sleep deprivation are loss of appetite, slow recovery from diseases, feeling of tiredness through out the day, cravings to eat more of sweets and junk food etc. The patient of sleep deprivation gains weight abnormally or loses weight due to weakness. It is necessary that when something like this happens you must consult your doctor. Remember, this problem has chronic and dangerous effects in the longer span. It is therefore important to be cautious from the beginning itself.
