What Is Enuresis? |
Enuresis is bed wetting while you are asleep. You tend not to wake up when you need to go to the bathroom during the night. There are two types of bedwetting. Primary enuresis -- bedwetting since you were born It is viewed as a delayed maturation of the nervous system. Children usually boys after the age of 5 will wet the bed once a month. However; this does increase as the child get older and starts to mature. If a family member had a history of bedwetting, the chances of having a bed wetter are about 45%. Secondary enuresis-bedwetting after you have not wet the bed or a minimum of six months The basic problem of bed wetting is that a child sleeps so soundly or so relaxed that the brain does not recognize that the blatter is trying to tell it’s full, resulting in bed wetting. Through scientific study there is nothing to correlate between emotional problems and bed wetting. Bed wetting is very disturbing on children and the parent. However, the parent must remember that their child with eventually grow out of this. Parents just remember; each child matures differently and bed wetting can be just a normal developmental stage.
