Everyone has a clock that becomes a biological internal clock. This clock is very important because it helps to regulate your sleep system. When your clock stops working the way it does or becomes malfunctioning you could have Circadian Rhythm Disorder. There are levels and groups of which this disorder is on and plus the causes vary depending on the level. Causes of Circadian Rhythm Disorder: - The environment is important because if the temperature and level noise aren't in a certain way it could cause you to not sleep. - Sometimes your pacemaker might become disrupted. - If you are sensitive to any zeitgebers it could cause you to have Circadian Rhythm Disorder. - Jet lag and traveling can cause Circadian Rhythm Disorder. - Switching and changing job jours from morning to night is another cause for Circadian Rhythm Disorder. - Neurological diseases can cause this disorder like Alzheimers. - Any major lifestyle change might cause this. Treatments for Circadian Rhythm Disorder: - Not taking naps during the day might help. - Staying on regular sleep patterns. - Reducing the amount of stress in your life. - Avoiding any caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes. - Changing your diet and having small meals. There are lots of treatments for Circadian Rhythm Disorder, including medications. If one does not work the doctor might switch to another until one does.
