What Causes Snoring?

Snoring is very common and something that can create a lot of problems with being able to fall into a deep sleep. Knowing what causes snoring might help you to stop it or find the right treatment.

Please keep in mind that what causes snoring might vary in each person.

- When your nasal passages become blocked partially it can make it harder for the air to actually transfer causing the airways of your nasals to become obstructed. Some experience only during allergy season or if they are having sinus problems.

- When you are overweight your throat might be bulky causing you to snore. If this is the case the doctor might put you on a special diet.

- When your tongue or either throat become very relaxed this can create the tone with the muscles to become very poor. Once it gets relaxed they can collapse, falling right back into that airway again and again. The main cause of this is alcohol but sleeping pills and even deep sleep might have somewhat of a role in it.

If no one can sleep because of your snoring that is when you should consider getting professional help.
